Alexander Joseph Wittevronghel is internationally known as a highly skilled romantic landscape painter.

Alexander Joseph during his life has mainly been involved in painting very detailed, Dutch summer and winter landscapes. We often see his winter landscapes in particular: detailed ice scenes with bare trees, many figures and skating fun.
Fame brought him all the same summer river landscapes.
